Arch. Matteo Scagnol - Studio MoDus Architects

Edges, swings and curves. Elusive balance in architecture - 4 CFP

The talk takes as its theme the manipulation of shapes and their impact in the works realised by Studio MoDus Architects. It also engages in an in-depth reflection of the elusive balance found in architectural work. The Architect will demonstrate how the expressive matrix of shaped and sculpted volumes adapt in each instant to the conditions under which the project is implemented, maintaining a subtle and enigmatic character that is never comforting. He will also discuss case histories and demonstrate how heterogeneous formal solutions can be proposed that are attentive to the unique features of the location and the result of research and experimentation. The basis for this should be an approach focussed on the use of materials in their expressive forms with a capacity to endure and be transformed by the effects of time.
