Sarca 235 - Open City - 3 CFP

Arch. Alessandro Scandurra (Scandurra Studio)

Sarca 235 is a restructuring operation of an existing building within the transformation of the industrial area North-East of Milan. The building was created from simple dimensional and geometric elements, in order to meet the best functional characteristics required for commercial buildings. The main entrance is in Viale Sarca, where an urban square makes the central Lobby visible at double height and connects the building directly to the city. A compact plan, in which internal flows and distribution dynamics guarantee maximum flexibility and privacy, ensures high efficiency as a whole. Its rationality and quality foster the architecture of wellbeing, shaping a representative office highly marked by decorative metal cladding, obtained from special work with pigments and texture of sheets. The building appears dynamic and transparent, characterised by contemporary classicality, uniting functionality with a high formal value.
